Meet Tahlissa Collard, School-Based Trainee with Webuild

Tahlissa is a proud Yamatji and Noongar woman who joined us in 2025 as a school-based trainee while completing Year 11. Since then, she has embraced every opportunity to learn, grow and challenge herself in a professional workplace environment.

Over the past two years, Tahlissa has gained hands-on experience supporting our HR team, contributing to everything from onboarding and training administration to inductions and reception. Along the way, she has built valuable skills in communication, organisation, time management and teamwork, while growing in confidence and independence.

Now on the verge of graduating Year 12, Tahlissa has also completed her Certificate II in Workplace Skills and AIM’s Networking for Success course, achievements she is incredibly proud of and that have helped shape her future career aspirations in business and administration.

Reflecting on her journey, Tahlissa says the traineeship has been a defining part of her final years at school, providing real-world experience and life skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

“I’m grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to complete my traineeship over the past year, it has been a big part of my final years at school and has taught me things that I don’t think I could have learnt just from being in a classroom. I’m proud of how much I’ve grown in confidence and independence, and I’ll definitely take what I’ve learnt with me here at Clough into whatever I do after Year 12.”
