Meet the Team

Meet Ant Treloar, General Services Manager

Meet the Team - Ant Treloar, Snowy 2.0

Ant joined the Future Generation Joint Venture team in 2021 and has supported the growth of the workforce across the many accommodation sites our people enjoy during their time on the project.

“I joined the project just over two years ago, and in the time that I've been here, it’s been a continuous journey of mobilizing our accommodation to house the workforce for the project

“The challenges I’ve encountered have also been quite rewarding. I've seen our workforce grow from 20-odd people to over 200 general service workers, and the impact of what we do is rewarding for people that live in the villages from a work life balance perspective.

“What I absolutely love is the location of this project. I've travelled around quite a bit to the different sites and I never, ever get sick of the beautiful scenery or the changing seasons that we see on the project.

“I enjoy the people I work with and enjoy not only the General Services staff but the friendships that you can make with the people right across the project. It's like a big family.

“For anyone thinking about joining the project, I’d say do it! You won't be disappointed. The dynamic on this project is just incredible. I'm always inspired by the natural energies around me. It's just fantastic to work in such an incredible environment and it's awesome to be part of a renewables project that is so iconic for this country.”

About the Snowy 2.0 Project

Webuild is part of Future Generation Joint Venture - FGJV, the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro Limited, delivering the iconic Snowy 2.0 Project, which will help underpin Australia’s renewable energy future.

Snowy 2.0 will increase the generating capacity of the Snowy Scheme by 2,000 megawatts (MW), up from current capacity which stands at 4,100 MW, and will also triple its pumping capabilities which the Scheme currently has at Tumut 3 power station.

Importantly, Snowy Hydro supplies the National Electricity Market at times of peak demand. As renewable energy sources continue to feed a greater proportion of power into the grid, Snowy 2.0 will help keep the lights on when the wind is not blowing or the sun is not shining.
