Webuild, as part of Parklife Metro D&C, has achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of track installation this week, marking a major step forward in the delivery of the Western Sydney Airport Line (SSTOM).

This achievement reflects the strength of clear direction, disciplined execution, and the collective commitment of teams working toward a shared objective. This milestone has been delivered through sustained focus and collaboration across the entire workforce. 

The scale of delivery is substantial: 

• 92 kilometres of single rail installed, that’s roughly the distance from Sydney CBD to Wollongong — and then another 10 kilometres on top 
• A total of 6,408 tonnes of Australian rail steel and 76,285 sleepers were installed to construct the twin tracks, including laying tracks down at the stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills.    
• Approximately 60,000 cubic metres of concrete poured - That’s enough concrete to fill around 24 Olympic-sized swimming pools. 

Importantly, this milestone was completed with a safety-first approach, reflecting Webuild’s ongoing commitment to safety as a core priority across all operations.
