Building a secure water future in Australia
In Australia, we bring decades of experience to the design and construction of infrastructure supporting clean water access. Through complex projects such as water treatment plants, desalination facilities, and wastewater management systems, the Group has established itself as a key player in the nation’s water infrastructure landscape.
Webuild has also constructed dams for drinking water and irrigation, playing a pivotal role in securing the water needs of local communities, even in drought-prone regions. These facilities will help ensure Australian communities are better protected against the impacts of floods, droughts, and pollution.
Building WA’s largest wastewater treatment facility
The will transform the Perth Facility into the largest wastewater treatment facility in Western Australia. serving industrial, commercial and residential customers of Perth’s southern metropolitan region.
The contract is the latest in a series of upgrades being conducted by the Water Corporation at the Facility.
The upgrade will enable the facility to treat 120 tonnes of dried solids per day. The biosolids can be used for agricultural purposes, such as soil conditioning. Another by-product of the treatment process is biogas, which can be used as a source of energy.
The upgrade will include the incorporation of Thermal Hydrolysis Pre-Treatment technology, a new dewatered sludge receival facility, a new solids thickening and dewatering system and a new odour treatment provisions.
