Main Stadiums Built by Webuild: A Legacy of Innovation

Leveraging global capabilities, Webuild has delivered numerous state-of-the-art sports facilities worldwide.

The most recent stadium in our portfolio is the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar. Built for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, this futuristic venue hosted the tournament's opening match and stands as a global benchmark for sports engineering.

Key features of the Al Bayt Stadium project include:

  • Capacity: Built to accommodate 60,000 spectators across a vast area of 200,000 square meters..
  • Sustainable Design
    • Innovative tent-shaped design for energy efficiency.
    • Advanced air-conditioning system for year-round events.
    • GSAS Class A* sustainability rating.
    • 20% of materials were sourced from recycled content.
  • Modular Architecture: In a pioneering move for stadium sport infrastructure, the structure was designed to be partially dismantled post-tournament. The capacity will be reduced to 32,000 seats, with the removed seating sections donated to developing nations in need of new sports facilities
